Academic Background



Paul's academic excellence began at St. Laurence High School in Burbank, Illinois, where he graduated with honors in 1968. He pursued higher education at De Paul University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with honors in 1972 from the College of Commerce. That same year, he received his CPA Certificate from the University of Illinois. Continuing his educational pursuit, he earned a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from De Paul University's College of Law in 1974.



Career History



Daugerdas initiated his professional career at Arthur Andersen & Co., progressing from staff member to partner from 1974 to 1994. He played pivotal roles, including being a part of the Mergers, Acquisitions & Reorganizations Tax Specialty Team and leading the Central Region Financial Markets Team. He also headed the Chicago Office "On Call" Team and was a member of the Financial Valuation Services Specialty Team.



In 1994, Paul Daugerdas joined Altheimer & Gray as a partner and Head of the Tax Department. From 1999 to 2002, he was a Shareholder/Partner at the Law Offices of Jenkens & Gilchrist, where he managed the Chicago office and co-directed the Tax Practice. He was also a member of the Management Advisory Committee.



In 2003, he transitioned to a consultant and managing director role at Treasurex Financial, where he shared his expertise until 2014.



Involvement in Charity



Paul's philanthropic contributions are notable. He was Chairman and President of The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois in 2002 and 2003. Additionally, he served as a Board Member, Treasurer, Finance Committee Member, and Wish Granter from 1996 to 2008. His dedication to philanthropy extends to various other charities, including museums and civic organizations since the mid-1970s.
